Mandurah-based indie-pop band Little Guilt have today returned with their tranquil new single Slow Burn – produced and mixed by by Dylan Keirnan, and mastered by Ryan Morey.
Beginning with soothing acoustic guitar and idyllic keyboards, Slow Burn is a sugary slice of earnest songwriting. Heavenly melodies from vocalist Ella Melton effortlessly levitate above a relaxing mix of deft instrumentation, as the track’s undulating hook swoons with magnetism and charm
The band explain the meaning behind Slow Burn: “It’s about liking someone, them liking you, but not realising it yet. Being trapped in a sort of romantic limbo where you know this could blossom into something awesome, but the other person is still coming to terms with this. It’s waiting for them to get to your level of obsession.”
Previous releases from Little Guilt have seen support from the likes of Spotify, triple j Unearthed, RTR FM, Bay FM and Australian community radio.
Taking cues from Middle Kids, Ball Park Music and Stella Donnelly, Little Guilt‘s music shines a light on life’s positively bright moments, encompassing the band’s jovial nature through their colourful creativity.
