Buckle up, Queensland. Following the announcement of THIS THAT’s 2022 dates and Newcastle lineup last week, festival organisers today unveil the artists that will be taking the stage at Sandstone Point on Sat 5 March for the festival’s first-ever Queensland run.

Managing to secure a heap of the original lineup, organisers have also snagged a couple of 100% Aussie faves as replacements. Boosting themselves onto an already stacked bill are WA indie-rock pals, Spacey Jane. Since taking out the #2 spot on the triple j hottest 100, Spacey Jane have become one of Australia’s most in-demand bands will be nothing but ‘Good For You.’ The party continues with previously confirmed dance-floor royalty Hayden James and The Presets, who will deliver colossal sets feat. breath-taking visuals and of course, all the hits.

It wouldn’t be a true Aussie festival without legends and larrikins Dune Rats bringing their on-stage antics (…did someone say Shoey?). If that’s not enough chaotic Aussie energy, everyone’s fave shed-rock trio, The Chats, join in on the mischief. Cruising in on their ‘Off White Limousine’, Client Liaison bring vibes upon vibes as they deliver their suave dance moves and while remaining the best-dressed band in Australian music.

Take a breather between dance sessions with plenty of heartfelt singalongs as powerhouse Meg Mac joins previously announced indie-pop faves Jack River, The Rubens and San CiscoKota Banks,Wafia and Haiku Hands will be serving up fierce-femme energy and sending the vibes sky-high. Missing the clubs? THIS THAT‘s gotchu. BADRAPPER VS LUUDE will transform Sandstone Point into a high-energy dance party for those who have been itching to tear up the d-floor.

As if the lineup isn’t stacked enough, the THIS THAT team have more heat dropping for both the Queensland and New South Wales legs very soon. Landing spectacularly in both locations in 2022 is third stage “The Other”. A lineup dripping with a combination of local and emerging Oz talent is being carefully curated alongside a mystical pop-up enclave that’ll transport punters to an entirely different universe. THIS THAT organisers have plenty more up their sleeves, including an unbelievable roster of Australia’s best DJs and the winner of THIS THAT’s triple j Unearthed comp to kick off the party – all to be revealed soon!

All that’s left to do is get a ticket, DM a mate and plan that fit. All tickets purchased for the 2020 and 2021 event dates are automatically valid for 2022. Big ups to the punters for holding onto their tickers and supporting THIS THAT across these changes. Ticket Holders who can’t throw down at the new dates can take advantage of a two-week refund window for Sandstone Point from today. To avoid disappointment and a serious case of insta-story envy, it’s best to hold on to those precious tickets – all VIP tickets have been snapped up and both Sandstone Point and Newcastle THIS THAT are 95% sold with less than a thousand tickets left.
