FUTURE HAUNTS Share New Single ‘Accelerator’ + Announce New EP

“The rolling rhythm on this is really infectious. And it’s got this punk edge in the vocal that adds an extra layer of power. Would love to see it live on stage…*sigh*…one day.” – Richard Kingsmill, triple j

[Future Haunts’] versatility and genre-defying range refuse to have them placed inside a box; a sense of musicianship and consistency something that’s kept the band one to watch “ – Pilerats

“Australian music constantly excites us, and we’re just proud to see that Future Haunts are waving the banner and leading the charge with a sound that is fresh, unique and constantly evolving.” – Tone Deaf

“NEVER a bad song from Future Haunts. Always impressing. This one’s another beauty. It’s alive and ready for action.”
– Claire Mooney, triple j

After earning triple j spot rotation and captivating listeners with their last single Social Glue, Brisbane’s Future Haunts are thrilled to share their next single Accelerator. A further showcase of the band’s signature brand of indie-infused alternative rock, Accelerator is a taste of Future Haunts’ EP ‘I Can’t Change The Way You Change’, which will be released on Friday October 29th.

Speaking of the new single, lead vocalist and guitarist Ben Speight says: “Accelerator is a reflection on distance, being disconnected from your loved ones and trying to keep pace in a fast changing world with distractions at every turn. Everyone knows the feeling – whether it’s being away from family, friends or just trying to make sense of where you stand and what path you should take in life – particularly relevant in a COVID-19 world.”

Accelerator was recorded at Plutonium Studios, engineered and mixed by Aidan Hogg, and mastered by William Bowden.
