MoonDoll Festival Q&A Series: LUNCHTIME

Words/Interview: Shannon-Lee Sloane {The Colourful Writer}

With MoonDoll Music Festival just around the corner, we’ve taken some time to swing some messages to some of the bands and artists on the bill to ask them about the upcoming event and live music festivals in general, as well as some other questions to get to know them a little better! Next up we have Brisbane Grungy Punk Rockers, Lunchtime!

How excited are you to play MoonDoll Festival this year?

Extremely! This is our first MoonDoll and we are so pumped to be part of this amazing lineup.

How crazy do you think I am for putting on a music festival in 2021?

A music festival is exactly what we need in 2021! It has been far too long since we’ve even played a show because of all the restrictions.

How do you feel about music festivals in general?

We absolutely adore them. The atmosphere is just unbeatable and there’s always something crazy going down.

What is the best music festival you’ve ever been to? Name the festival, the year, and the highlights of the event!

Good Things 2019.

Highlights would be getting to see Violent Soho play from the front row of the mosh together, doing the Veronicas wall of death, when Rou Reynolds held Eden’s hand and seeing Mark Hoppus in the flesh.

If you could play a festival with any band or artist in the whole world, who would it be and why?

Lady Gaga because she is our real dad.

If you could create your own all star line up for a huge music festival, who would be your top five headlining bands?

Yours Truly, Slowly Slowly, Blink 182, Deftones, Catfish and the Bottlemen.

Who are you most excited to see at MoonDoll this year?

Zero1Zero because nothing is more important than family (insert Vin Diesel meme here)

For those that don’t know- Jordo’s dad is Hamish from Zero1Zero.

Who would you like to see on MoonDoll next year?

Fresh new talent from Brisbane!

If you/your band was asked to include one cover song in your set, what song would you choose and why?

S&M by Rhianna because it would go off as a punk song.

How do you feel about mixed genre festivals and gigs?

We adore them. When we were starting out we actually got put on a lot of local metal festivals and met a whole new bunch of people who really supported us even though we weren’t really apart of the metal scene. (Big love to A Somerset Parade and SCHEMA Collective we love yas forever)

Who is your favourite local band?

Who is your favourite Australian band of all time?

Very tough question but it would be between Silverchair and Something for Kate.

If you could give your fans and followers words of wisdom or a motto, what would it be?

Don’t let anyone’s opinion of you make you change who you are!
