Byron-based newcomer Mvlholland (Grace Mulholland) returns with second offering, But I Like It. The striking new single details experiences of living among addiction and what it means to keep seeking out a new feeling from the familiar highs that just don’t cut it anymore.
Mvlholland shares: “But I Like It is about a form of addiction. It could be a person, a substance, a moment, anything. It’s about being aware that the way you feel is unhealthy and the dependency you have is alarming, but almost falling into it and not caring anymore because f*ck it.”
But I Like It marks a stellar follow up to debut single 83, which was also penned alongside main collaborator and producer, Lachlan Bostock (of Mansionair). 83 won praise from new fans and media alike including triple j (added to spot rotation at the station), 10 Magazine, Pilerats and Life Without Andy, who all tipped Mvlholland as an exciting new artist to watch. The track also bagged placement in coveted playlists via Spotify (New Music Friday, Pop N Fresh, The Local List), Apple Music (New Music Daily, A List Pop, Breaking Pop), Amazon (Brand New Music), and YouTube (ANZ Spotlight Shelf).
With a forthcoming debut project on the way, there’s heaps more exciting stuff to come from Mvlholland. Stay tuned.
