BEKS Shares Anti-Love Power Anthem ‘Devoted’

Today prolific collaborator and rising pop power-player Beks releases Devoted, an anti-love discotheque, dance floor anthem.

Written by Beks (Rebecca Callander) on the NSW Central Coast, Devoted marks the next evolution – a revolution – in the now-Brisbane-based artist’s sonic journey. Produced and mixed by Aaron Lee, the song’s 80s style guitar riff and four-to-the-floor beat echoes a disco groove reminiscent of an early Daft Punk. The song is entitled Devoted however according to Beks it’s almost an anti-devotional anthem: “It’s about power recall; reclaiming the power you’ve placed on someone who’s exploited that power and giving it back to yourself. It’s about idolising your own individuality and uniqueness.” explains Beks.

Whilst the single can stand strongly on its own feet, Beks has an exciting video clip set for release, a BTS clip and we will also be graced with Devoted’s very own 6 track remix pack. The remix pack is set for release on Wednesday 22 September and features female, UK producer, Zyra – whose breakthrough song with Odesza earned her millions of streams. To celebrate the release there will be a single launch for in Beks hometown of Brisbane on the 27th August at La La Land, Fortitude Valley.

Devoted lands off the back of Beks’s latest The Thing About Us. Since landing in December, the track has seen a suite of successes including strong triple j Unearthed support, airplay on Ash London Live and triple j’s Home & Hosed, and was recently picked up by Channel 7 for a national ad campaign. Truly brandishing a collaborative spirit with this project, Beks has been writing with producers as varied as Kim Moyes (The Presets), Ninajirachi, Taka Perry and many more. With a stash of singles and releases to come there’s no stopping this unique pop talent who has already established a posse of ‘devoted’ fans, which grows with every new release.

With more exciting things to come, become a devoted Beks now as she takes the pop world by storm.
