Eat The Damn Orange are giving you one last taste before they release their upcoming album ‘Taking The Pith’ in mid-April. Keep Up With Me is a loving ode to their front-woman Tash, who is as lovable as she is chaotic. The track rips from beginning to end and is slathered with all the things that make us love ETDO, brilliant vocals, rocking drums, and even a guitar solo:
“1 2 3 Look at me
Do you think that I’m totally insane?
4 5 6, Lunatics
Short between coffee and cocaine
Dressed to kill, I need a thrill
Hard wired in my brain
Heart attack, don’t come back
Till you’re screaming my name“
Eat The Damn Orange is a band found regularly on stages around Melbourne and at Studio One.Be. Headstone Records founder, Dave Warner, recorded the single and upcoming album due out in mid-2021. The good-hearted humor and excellent riffage made them the perfect for the Headstone roster.
The philosophy of Eat The Damn Orange is simple. We rock. We party. You should too. Blending pub rock, latin flavours, splinters of metal and just a dash of tenderness. The Orange will astound with songs about love, genital mutilation, society and food intolerances that aim directly for your soul which is slightly to the left of your liver.
Crunching guitar, soaring vocals, grooving bass and pounding drums are the staples that create the signature juiciness that is unlike anything else you have heard before. It has been Eat The Damn Orange’s live performances have helped cultivate a cult following in the Melbourne rock scene.
Formed in 2016, The Orange have had their share of bumps in the road but have now signed with Headstone Records and are now looking forward to releasing their debut album ‘Taking The Pith’ in early 2021.
