TALIA ROSE Follows Up Debut With Dark Alt-Pop Single ‘Cut My Nails’

The voice, the delivery, the dark pop emotion – all signs point to Talia Rose being the real deal” – Dave Ruby Howe, triple j unearthed

Today Gold Coast native and newcomer, Talia Rose releases her second single Cut My Nails through independent record label Beets & Bears.

Staying true to her brand of brooding lyrics and dark, alt-pop soundscapes, Talia follows up from her debut single Losing My Mind with another moody, introspective tune Cut My Nails.

The track was inspired by a dark period in her life where she was homeless and navigating shortcomings whilst in a precarious relationship. “It’s hard to explain without losing it, but it was sort of about being lost and on a downward spiral. Last year I was in and out of a pretty toxic relationship with an ex-girlfriend, I was drinking a lot and really struggling to deal with life, that’s the PG version anyway,” Talia explains.

Coming out on top and still building her fanbase from the ground up, her debut single Losing My Mind already has nearly 5000 streams on Spotify, spins on both triple j’s Home & Hosed and triple j unearthed radio, as well as reviews from Australian tastemakers such as auspOpAAABackstage, Blank GC and more. With another single ready to go, followed by talks of an EP, we can expect more exciting music from the young artist.

Inspired by the likes of Billie EilishBENEE and Ariana Grande, Talia continues to build her own sound with strong, soulful vocals and deep atmospheric soundscapes; so join her as she begins to make a name of her own.

Cut My Nails is OUT NOW.
