JEREMY MAROU Joins Ownership Of Rockhampton’s Goat Cafe To Bring Out The Local Music

Rockhampton’s very own Busby Marou are bringing live music back to the Beef Capital with performances at the Goat Café & Bar on Friday 2nd October and Sunday 4th October with Jonte as support! It’s been a little over 12 months since the lads played in Rockhampton which coincided with the launch of their fourth album ‘The Great Divide’.

We’re now in a world of uncertain times and Busby Marou haven’t been able to perform as regularly as they’d like – it’s actually given them the time to branch out and explore as a band and independently.  One opportunity that presented itself was for Jeremy Marou to acquire shares in The Goat Café & Bar – and these two shows are to make that announcement and celebrate it.

“I’m excited to be joining the Goat Café & Bar Family – we, as in Busby Marou have had a positive relationship with the venue in the past and I look forward to playing a part in ensuring that Rocky doesn’t miss out on live acts in the future”, Marou said.

He added, “Live music is my passion and being in a position to share my passion with the team at The Goat is something I’m really looking forward to”.

The shows will be very different to what Rockhampton has been accustomed to, The Goat Café & Bar’s COVID SAFE Plan requires all patrons to be seated while the overall capacity is significantly reduced.  If you want to tickets to either of these events, you will need to secure them quickly.

Best known for their distinctly Australian storytelling and gifted musicianship, Busby Marou, AKA Tom Busby (hailing from sunny Queensland) and Jeremy Marou (from the beautiful Torres Strait Islands), have built off the success of their fourth studio album ‘The Great Divide’ (Produced by Holy Holy’Oscar Dawson) to be rewarded with four QMA nominations.

Busby Marou have gained the reputation as one of Australia’s hardest working live bands best known for their distinctly Australian storytelling and gifted musicianship.  Onstage a key element is the intertwining of vocal interplay of two life long mates.  A point of difference for the duo is the energy they put into touring regional Australia loving the live experience as much of Country beer barn as a slick inner city theatre.
