THE DEAD LOVE Release Their Latest Single ‘Small Talk’

It’s 2020 and The Dead Love are on the rise!

After a sold-out national headline tour in November 2019, a successful 2019 UK/EU trip alongside ROAM & With Confidence (UK), festival slots at BIGSOUND 2019 and Party in The Paddock 2020, and plenty of opportunities to play locally alongside prominent acts like The Story So Far (US), Basement (UK), DZ Deathrays, Stand Atlantic and Yours Truly, it’s a pretty safe bet to say that The Dead Love are turning heads.

It’s notable for an independent artist to manage to hit the cover of Spotify’s Rock Out and Local Noise playlists – but The Dead Love did it twice, with recent singles Sugarcoat and My Friends also nailing Triple J spot rotation and Unearthed rotation, respectively. Their 2019 album ‘The Extinction of Unicorns’ was released by US label Adventure Cats Records, and garnered acclaim both domestically and around the globe, with extensive airplay on radio stations Triple J, FBi Radio, Triple M, 3RRR FM, PBS FM and more.

The Dead Love are set to release their second single of the year. Following My Friends comes the pop-punk filled anthem Small Talk. A song that takes power and pride and acknowledges what the world is currently enduring and how we should save the Small Talk and focus on the bigger picture.

“With the world going through some epic and necessary shifts being with the Black Lives Matter movement, modern Feminism, LGBTQ equality and of course the global pandemic for the cherry on top, it just seemed like such a cop-out to write a song about something watered down with very little meaning. There’s so much important shit to talk about NOW more than ever! Save the small talk!”
