Australia’s ever-growing heavy metal world welcomes a new label to the scene – Octane Records.
Embracing all things heavy, Octane Records is spearheaded by music promoter Bailey Graham and PR veteran Chris Maric, who together bring a new and exciting approach to the country’s ever-evolving heavy metal industry.
As well as announcing the new venture, Octane Records are announcing their first signing – Australia’s legendary melodic metal veterans Vanishing Point, in an Australian-exclusive deal for their next full-length album. The record will also be released to the rest of the world via Germany heavyweight label AFM Records.
Graham speaks about the new label, “Being involved with Australia’s heavy music industry for the last number of years as a promoter, booking agent & artist manager, I’ve come to adore our country’s incredible heavy music community, and I’ve always looked forward to seeing what I can do to put in that extra mile for our world-class talent, both at home and when abroad. Octane Records is the next step in providing a platform for such talent to shine on a bigger stage, and I can’t wait to put in the hours making it happen!”
Vanishing Point, a name synonymous with Australian heavy metal, are widely recognised as the country’s premiere melodic metal band, with over twenty years in the business. Fast forward seven years since their previous full-length ‘Distant Is The Sun’, the veterans are gearing up for their most ambitious release to date.
Vanishing Point’s guitarist Chris Porcianko speaks about the signing – “To be working with Bailey and the team at Octane Records on our new album is just the start in what I can see as being a solid, transparent and long term partnership that in my belief will do justice to the music that we have created especially with the new album and it will only get stronger with our next journey.”
More news on Vanishing Point’s upcoming new release to be announced soon.
