With songs like Runaway, Stubborn and I’m Just Me, Pop/ R&B Singer-Songwriter Christopher Marciano is all about speaking his mind on self-worth. The importance of promoting Mental Health Awareness and Diversity through his music has been the reason why he continues to not let the pen escape him. “The moment I found myself avoiding mirrors is the moment I knew something had to change. I needed to take everyone on that journey towards finding Transparency and if I helped just one person along the way, then I’ve done what I needed to do.”
Christopher has just released his latest single, Discussion. The track commences with a beautiful choir singing acapella and harmonizing beautifully. Once the beat drops, you are instantly invested in embarking on this infectious journey. With a catchy hook and a sultry-aggressive tone, Christopher Marciano is found telling his audience that he is not up for ‘discussion’ in a new way, by rapping. The creatively written verses and hip-hop influences are sure to surprise any veteran Marciano fan. Standing out from the rest, Discussion has managed to still feel like a Christopher Marciano song but takes on a whole new level. With a combination of singing and layering vocals to give the addicting beat some really special.
“I write what I am inspired by and this beat felt right to me. I don’t colour in between the lines and don’t want to be limited in what I can do. I wrote this song out of frustration because I’ve heard bits and pieces of what people were saying about me. So, this ONE TIME, I wanted to let them know that I’m going to continue to live my life and it is highly suggested for them to do the same.”
When it came to the music video, Christopher Marciano didn’t take any shortcuts. The video is set at the captivating Castle Otttis located in St. Augustine. “I can be quite ambitious at times…well all the time, haha! So, when I made up my mind that I wanted to film at a castle, people thought I was crazy.” Directed by ChekTheCredits, the music video finds an aggressive, yet playful Marciano freely living his life and not giving a damn about what anyone thinks. Christopher Marciano is portrayed being a self discovered King, while roaming the eery corridors and rural rooftop of the castle. “I felt like I had nothing to lose, so I picked up the phone and contacted the owner of the castle. We spoke for hours and his words to me were unforgettable. When I met him in person, I felt like I was with family. Between him and Chek, this video was bound to be amazing.”
Discussion is now available everywhere.
