PREMIERE: RHINO Release Single + Video ‘White Witch’

RHINO are charging ahead with another highly anticipated release! Today, they unleash White Witchyet another impressive sonic force of nature, suitably accompanied by a rather bewitching clip, produced by vocalist, Simon Benson.

Tracks like this should come with a warning label, and it’s the band themselves that had better watch out! Once you’re done with this 3min 11sec hard-hitting blast of riffs and rock pleasure, you’ll find yourself joining the (dis)orderly line of fans desperate for a full album release from the beast that is RHINO.

“We were dealing with a witch…..not exactly a good witch. Jimbo managed to capture all the emotion of that time and condense it into this relentless riff.  He brought it to rehearsal and we were ready to roll. It became ‘White Witch’ after realising something brilliant was born out of all we endured’” Benson, on writing White Witch.

White Witch will be officially released April 24 on all streaming platforms!

Stampeding onto the Australian Heavy Music Scene in 2019, Brisbane natives RHINO recorded their debut single Afterlife at Studio 101 in Byron Bay with Lucius Borich (COG) / mastered by Forrester Saville (Karnivool / The Butterfly Effect).

Following the release of Afterlife, the band toured Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sydney & Sunshine Coast culminating in supporting Australian Rock Legends COG for two QLD shows.  RHINO returned to the studio in February 2020 to record their follow up single White Witch.

During recording, RHINO stepped away from the studio to support Aussie GRAMMY® Winners Wolfmother after frontman Andrew Stockdale caught the band live at their Sydney show and offered them main support.

“Like everyone at the moment , we are waiting to see how this all unfolds with regard to live gigs. We have a few interstate shows booked and a festival slot for later in the year. Hopefully they can still go ahead. In the meantime, we are working on new riffs and look forward to introducing you to the newest member of RHINO.”

“They (RHINO) have a great tone & a huge sound.” – Andrew Stockdale

“No bullshit rock, backed up with raw, gravelly vocals.” – Tracey Moyle (Music Maven Events)

“With a sound that somehow walks the line between stadium-rock and heavy metal while balancing blues and grunge on each horn, I can quite confidently confirm the wise words of Benson last night; “RHINO… is a beast.”” – Rangi White (Good Call Live)

RHINO are:

James Wassenaar – Guitar

Geoff Newnam – Guitar + Backing Vocals

Heath Kelly – Drums

Simon Benson – Vocalist
