#AUSMUSICTSHIRTDAY Feature Series – GUTTERFIRE!

The Good Call Live Team are coming together in support of Support Act for #ausmusictshirtday … and we are doing it with a little help from our friends!

Brisbane’s sludgy desert alt rock party bringers, GUTTERFIRE! have joined in on our feature series! These local legends are big favourites of the Good Call Live team. They have kind of hit the ground running this year with GUTTERFIRE! becoming a household name with the local Brisbane music crew. These guys are all about the rrrrrock and all about the rrrrriffs! Thanks for coming on board guys.

GUTTERFIRE! play ‘IT’S ALIVE! this weekend at Crowbar Brisbane along with a brilliant line up of local talent. We highly recommend you go check ’em out! (+ there’s a list of all their upcoming gigs at the end of this article) Oh and the recent release of their latest single, For Hela, along with a fun new video was premiered through us! Check out the premiere HERE!

Have a read of what the guys had to say about their choice of band shirts and the importance of talking about and supporting mental health in the music industry:

Remember – YOU can help support the cause too by donating to our Official, Support-Act endorsed fundraising effort HERE

Tell us about your Aus Music T-Shirt:

Photon Jon:Dr. Colossus were a bloody good time when we supported them recently. Simpsons themed doom. I mean you can’t ask for much more than that… Well, you could but it’d be greedy.

Az Stoneley:Tumbleweed. Ahhhhhhhhh Tumbleweed.

ClayBo:My shirt is Dr. Peppernickles Orphanarium of Obese Aristocrats. These guys are weirdos. I like weirdos.

Dudeman:My shirt is Violent Soho. I remember seeing them the first time in ’08 at the Step Inn in front of 50 people and they blew me away. I’ve followed them ever since.

X-Man:My shirt is Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds‘ new ‘Ghosteen’ album. There’s a Nick Cave song for every mood.

Aus Music T-Shirt Day is a super important initiative in the Australian music industry. Why is it such an important initiative to you?

“Professional musicians are hard working people who take their craft seriously, but just work a little differently, so it can be a bit misunderstood as a profession. We need a bit of love and support in our workplace too. It’s great to shine a light on that!”

We know that mental health can slip under the radar in this business. Why is it vital to talk about your mental health?

“Your brain is an organ and should be looked after just like any other body organ. Take care of yourselves!”
