It’s with enormous pride that Liberation Records release the highly anticipated second full-length album ‘Wild Seeds’ by beloved Australian supergroup Seeker Lover Keeper –Sarah Blasko, Sally Seltmann and Holly Throsby. ‘Wild Seeds’ is the long-awaited follow-up to their 2011 self-titled debut.
As a celebration of the release, the band revealed another stunning offering from ‘Wild Seeds’ earlier this week with One Way Or Another. To further celebrate, Seeker Lover Keeper – with their live band – will bring their their ethereal album to life this September and October hitting metro and regional centres for an extensive national tour. Tickets are on sale now via seekerloverkeeper.com.au.
Thematically, the 12 songs on ‘Wild Seeds’ sit together effortlessly, reflecting a shared outlook and lived experience: the nostalgia of youth, the gravity of growing up, the endurance of friendship, and the ever-evolving process of self-realisation. These are both personal narratives and universal stories. There are yearnings for connection and celebrations of solitude; a vivid sense of past and present.
The theatrics of the three singles – Let it Out, Wild Seeds and Superstar – were captured in a series of powerful music videos by award-winning director Natalie Van Den Dungen and featured arresting performances by beloved actress and activist Magda Szubanski, rising Australian star Maddy Madden and Yael Stone, star of Netflix’s international hit series Orange Is The New Black.
‘Wild Seeds’ was self-produced by the group, with mixer Collin Dupuis (Lana Del Rey, Angel Olsen, St. Vincent) capturing the essence of the album – a woman, once wild, reflecting on her former tumults with a sense of grace and solace. It’s a fitting title for such an assured record, an album that emboldens Seeker Lover Keeper’s sound with lucidity and strength.
‘Wild Seeds’ has been featured all this week across Double J and has so far received a flood of praise and coverage across the likes of Vogue, Marie Claire, Stellar, The Guardian and Instyle with much more to come. With the album tour less than a month away, fans are urged to pre-purchase tickets to experience the wonder of this true supergroup Seeker Lover Keeper.
