TIA GOSTELOW Announces National Supports For ‘Get To It’ Tour

Tia Gostelow has unveiled her new single Get To It, the first single after her Queensland Music Award winning 2018 debut album. The new single had its debut radio play on Triple J’s Good Nights alongside a premiere on UK’s indie tastemaker Clash. The song has had a scorching welcome with rotation on Triple J, adds to Spotify’s New Music Friday & Indie ArrivalsApple Music’s Best Of The Week & A-List Alternative among many others.

Ahead of her national tour celebrating the single, she’s announced Gena Rose Bruce as the main support for the tour. A Melbourne-based singer-songwriter who with her tender approach to emotive indie-pop has just released debut album ‘Can’t Make You Love Me’ via Dot Dash Recordings! She has already received stunning album reviews and just finished in a packed album tour! Tia is thrilled to add her to the line up in Sydney and Melbourne along with Boysnlove to round out Sydney, Slowcoaching in Melbourne and Tales in Adelaide!

Tia Gostelow‘s new single is road tested and set to make you dance as Tia explains – “During the ‘Thick Skin’ album tour in February/March this year I added this track to my set to test it out a little with my audience and it was all positive! It’s a track that can be danced to which is something I’m focusing on for my new music.”

In line with Tia‘s independent approach Get To It was self produced with the help of her old touring band and Aidan Hogg at Plutonium Studios in her new home town of Brisbane. “The demo we finished with was more electronic sounding and I knew through the recording process that in the end I wanted to still have a live band feel so we made some slight changes in the finished recording.” – Tia Gostelow.

Get To It was written in 2018 at the APRA AMCOS BIGSOUND SongHubs at Heliport Studios with collaborators Olympia Henshaw (Mookhi) and U.S. songwriter Maize Olinger.

With powerful lyrics like “they say the youth is wasted on us” the track has a strong message, signifying a new chapter for Tia both mentally and musically as she continues – “’Get To It’ is about not waiting to do things, not waiting until you think something is perfect, not following the norm and doing things on your own terms. Just getting out there and getting shit done, how you want to do it and not feeling restricted by age or experience. It’s the start of something new for me. A new mindset, more self-awareness and honesty in who I am and what I want to be and not.”
