Calling some big things for Georgia June in 2019.”

“Resembling the likes of Joan Jett and Blondie, with an affable style of storytelling, reminiscent of bands such as the Talking Heads

“Predicting even bigger things from the Inner-West rocker.”

Known for their infectious energy, Sydney 5-piece Georgia June today share their new single Try Again and announce headline shows in Sydney, Melbourne, Newcastle and Wollongong. Try Again will feature on their debut body of work which was recorded whilst touring with the likes of The Preatures and Lime Cordiale. The demanding new single will be performed later this year when they take to the stage for headline dates and festival appearances at Yours and Owls and Festival Of The Sun.

Try Again was written about friendship,” says Georgia. “I was despising someone for dragging me through emotional turmoil and being in this constant wheel where I would have to adhere to another’s habits and self-destruction. However, it’s also about my own inability to talk about it, and instead, I just shove everything under the rug, because I hate conflict, so I guess it’s about hating that part of me as well.”

With a blend of charging guitars, exciting melodies and a relentless rhythm section, Georgia June’s output is driven by stories of both vulnerability and strength. Fiercely DIY, Georgia June has built up their community of fans through constant touring, including festival appearances at Falls Festival, Secret Garden and Bad Friday. In addition to their insightful and charming online presence – WATCH THE DIARY ROOM Episode 1 HERE
