EMMA LOUISE Announces ‘Lilac Everything’ Australian Tour for Sept. 2019

One hundred million streams, two Top 20 ARIA Albums and multi-platinum sales: Byron-Bay-via-Los-Angeles singer Emma Louise will bring her ‘Lilac Everything Tour’ to Australian fans this September. These special headline shows will be the very first time fans of the Wish You Well singer will be able to hear Emma’s critically acclaimed latest album, ‘Lilac Everything; A Project by Emma Louise’ (out now through Liberation Records) live on stage, as well the finest moments from her back catalogue.

“I am so looking forward to touring ‘Lilac Everything‘. This is my favourite album to date. The making of it was so magical and I know the live performance will be too and I can’t wait to share that with you.” Emma Louise

Emma kicks off the ‘Lilac Everything Tour’ at Sooki Lounge in Belgrave, VIC on Thursday 12 September, before taking performances across the country to Melbourne, Cairns, Brisbane, Sydney and Byron Bay.

Tickets go on sale Friday 7 June via emmalouise.net.

‘Lilac Everything’ is Emma’s most ambitious work to date – a record which saw the singer pitch down her unique, instantly recognisable vocals across the entire 10 tracks of the album. It was a bold, honest decision which won praise from fellow creatives, fans and critics alike. Says Emma of the move, “It was honestly the most relieving decision I’ve ever made. Musically. It just felt right”.

Rising Brisbane songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Emerson Snowe will join Emma on her national tour. Emerson has garnered widespread support from fellow artists, industry, fans and international tastemakers, with national tours with King Krule, Ariel Pink and GUM, performances at SXSW and The Great Escape, as well as headline shows across the UK, Europe and Australia in celebration of the release of his stunning debut EP That’s Rock ‘n’ Roll.

Also joining Emma at these shows is Cairns-based songwriter Greta Stanley, who has followed on from previous EP ‘Kick’ with her latest single Follow Suit. Greta has shared the stage with the likes of The Rubens, Woodes, Ziggy Alberts, Boy & Bear, Sarah Blasko and Didirri. On her latest track, once again she beautifully captures her own unique perspective on the highs and lows of life. Completely intimate and personal, and in the other recognising that there are others going through it all too – struggling on, fighting the fight, forging ahead.

With an extensive back catalogue and multi-Platinum certification to her name, plus co-writes and features on Flight Facilities’ Arty Boy and Two Bodies, Emma Louise has never been as content in her world as she is now. Splitting her time between northern NSW and Los Angeles, Emma absorbs herself daily in creativity by writing and creating music, painting and sculpting artworks   she is an artist in the truest sense of the word.

Don’t miss out on these unique shows – grab your tickets quickly! Tickets on sale Friday 7 June via emmalouise.net.

‘Lilac Everything’ was written by Emma during a brief sojourn in Mexico. The songs were later recorded at Bear Creek Studio in Seattle with artist Tobias Jesso Jnr., who’s also written with Adele, Sia and Florence + the Machine. Notably, this marks his first time working as a producer.

“I never wanted to be a producer until I heard Emma’s demos. She has perfect instincts when it comes to songwriting; she means what she writes and that truth comes across in her lyrics.” – Tobias Jesso Jnr.

Also behind the album is Grammy Award-winning engineer Shawn Everett, mixer for The War On Drugs, Alabama Shakes, Grizzly Bear and Julian Casablancas.

“One thing that’s different about Emma is how badass she is… she’s so willing to go where nobody has gone before.” – Shawn Everett (The War On Drugs, Alabama Shakes, Julian Casablancas)

“It proved her willingness to take the road less travelled with gusto, and served as the strongest point on her most inimitable album yet.” – Happy Mag, Falling Apart #1 in Top Songs of 2018
