Album set for release 17 May via Caroline Australia & Fearless Records

Time to celebrate – Eat Your Heart Out‘s debut album ‘Florescence’ is out this Friday, 17th May, via Caroline Australia and Fearless Records! To ring in release week – and to herald the album’s imminent arrival, the band have released a video for the track Closer To The Sun! The video premiered at Rock Sound overnight -and Album pre-orders are live now at https://caroline.lnk.to/florescence.

Vocalist Caitlin Henry says of the new track, “Closer To The Sun is about wanting something new and different, reaching for something more ambitious, and being torn down for it. ‘Tall Poppy Syndrome’ is a phase that refers to flowers being cut down to size if they grow above the others, and you often see this with successful women in all different fields when they rise above those around them.

Here’s what people are saying about Eat Your Heart Out‘s ‘Florescence’ ahead of its release!

Hysteria Mag says that this new album from Eat Your Heart Out is “…a coming of age masterpiece from a band quickly becoming one of Australia’s finest rock exports.

Wall of Sound
proclaimed that Eat Your Heart Out…provide a fresh take on pop-punk, and this album proves they’ve got enough edge to stand on their own. Easily relatable lyrics and catchy riffs will be two reasons to catch onto these guys and make them a staple on your playlist.”

GC Live reckons “‘Florescence’ encapsulates everything a good Pop Punk album should be- loud, proud and punchy while staying emotional where it needs to be.”

Hailing from Newcastle, Eat Your Heart Out is Caitlin Henry on vocals, Andrew Anderson and Will Moore on guitar, Dom Cant on bass and Jake Cronin on drums. Eat Your Heart Out carry on the tradition of Australia’s impressive history of musical outliers from Nick Cave and Silverchair to The Amity Affliction and Parkway Drive, but they do so unequivocally on their own terms. The group’s ability to meld aspects of grunge with an emo energy, punk power, and pop prowess can be heard on previous EP releases but their refreshingly unique approach to rock music has been leveled up on Eat Your Heart Out’s debut album.

Eat Your Heart Out‘s debut album ‘Florescence’ will be released on Friday 17 May via Caroline Australia and Fearless Records. New Single Closer To The Sun is out Friday in all good digital stores and streaming outlets along with the album. Album pre-orders are live now at https://caroline.lnk.to/florescence.
