It will be just over a year since the tragic loss of Scott Hutchison, vocalist and guitarist of Scottish indie-rock outfit Frightened Rabbit, when a collection of Brisbane artists will come together at the Black Bear Lodge to celebrate the band’s music and message and help raise valuable funds for suicide prevention.

To honour Scott‘s life, 100% of the money raised on the night is being donated to the Black Dog Institute. This money will be directed towards education and awareness activities and supporting innovative research into new clinical solutions for all Australians. By attending, you are helping Black Dog raise vital funds for:
– Research into Suicide prevention and clinical treatment.
– Expand education programs throughout metropolitan and regional Australia.
– Diagnose mood disorders accurately and early.
1 in 5 Australians experiences mental illness in any given year, and about half of all people will experience mental health problems at some stage in their life. Despite being the ‘lucky country’, suicide is now our number one cause of death in young people.
This event was inspired by the many tribute gigs that have been held around the world since Scott‘s death. While we’re alive, let’s make tiny changes to earth.
