After a writing spell away from the live stage, underground sludge-metal outfit The Black Swamp have released their first new music in over two years. After a well-received launch of the long player ‘I Am’, The Swamp continue touring off the back of their GCMA Best Video nominated single ‘Common Crows’, a groovy metal track steeped in stoner-rock sludge. This will shape as a real crowd pleaser.
Sydney’s Flaming Wrekage burn back through the Gold Coast peddling their new album “From Flesh To Dust”, hot off the heels of touring the new LP through Indonesia. Recorded in Melbourne with Orpheus Omega’s Chris Themelco, this modern metal album will be sure to deliver the anthems for an intense and memorable live show. Touring acclaimed singles such as ‘Cataclysm’ and ‘Thrown to The Wolves’, the band is ready to stir the heavy music fans of Australia.
Having played several raucous shows together, this is a duo of bands that really rip together, feeding off each bands unique but decidedly direct offering of heavy metal. Joining them are one of Brisbane’s finest, Evil Eye, sludge/post thrash metal, and finally heavy/hardcore band Bitter Lungs.
The Black Swamp and Flaming Wrekage play the Currumbin Pub on 29th April with Evil Eye and Bitter Lungs. https://www.facebook.com/events/1572874822726102/
